Canadian lock Reegan O’Gorman signs with Free Jacks

Canadian international Reegan O’Gorman will play for the New England Free Jacks in the 2022 Major League Rugby season. The 25-year-old has signed a one year deal, making the move east from Austin.

This past season was the first for O’Gorman in MLR after returning from New Zealand. Injuries have plagued his career to date and did so again in 2021, limiting the 6’6″ (1.98m) second row to just five games. Despite the challenges, he was selected for Canada’s UK tour in July and started against both Wales and England.

O’Gorman joins international teammate Josh Larsen at New England, with Dutch import Stan van den Hoven arriving from New Zealand. Other second row options include young American duo Javon Camp-Villalovos and Mikaea Wynyard, while back row Jesse Parete has also played lock in Super Rugby.
