The match venues are set for Argentina’s two home matches against Australia in 2022. Mendoza joins San Juan to give western Argentina two home test matches in the 2022 Rugby Championship.
Mendoza Governor, Rodolfo Suarez confirmed that Los Pumas will play host to the Wallabies on August 13, 2022 at the Malvinas Argentinas. The announcement follows the prior confirmation that San Juan will be the venue for the August 06 match.
The two matches are 50% of Argentina’s home matches in the 2022 Rugby Championship. The remaining match will be against South Africa on September 14. The venue for that fixture is yet to be confirmed.
Argentina’s additional 2022 Rugby Championship matches will be away fixtures. They are to come in the form of a match against the Springboks in South Africa and two against the All Blacks in New Zealand.
Argentina will prepare for the Rugby Championship by playing host to Scotland in July. The three match series will be historic; never before have Scotland toured Argentina for so many matches. The Northern British test team’s prior tours to Argentina have been for one or two test matches.
The tour will see Los Pumas playing on home soil for the first time since 2019. The three matches ill be played on July 02, July 09, and July 16. The July 09 match will be played in the northern Argentine city of Salta. Venues for the first and third test matches are forthcoming.
