Danny Tusitala back for third season with Old Glory

Danny Tusitala will return for a third season with Old Glory DC. The 30-year-old scrumhalf has re-signed with the club for the 2022 Major League Rugby season, returning from New Zealand where he has been playing for the Hawke’s Bay Magpies in the Bunnings NPC.

In his two seasons to date with the club Tusitala has been indispensable, starting all 21 MLR games. This past year saw him scoring 5 tries, a team high jointly held by wingers Renata Roberts-Te Nana and D’Montae Noble. Tusitala also kicked 5 conversions and 3 penalty goals.

There will be a new halfback partner for Tusitala in 2022 following the departure of Jason Robertson to France. Rohan Saifoloi will arrive from Australia while former Ponsonby and Auckland teammate William Talataina provides additional cover at the pivot position.
