Dallas Jackals sign Conrado Roura from Peñarol

Conrado Roura will play for the Dallas Jackals in 2022. The Argentine N8 was signed for the 2021 season only for Dallas to delay their debut until 2022. The outcome was that Roura played Súper Liga Americana de Rugby (SLAR) for Peñarol.

Roura was a stand-out performer for Peñarol in the 2021 season. The Uruguayan season were finalists, losing to the unbeaten Jaguares XV in the SLAR final.

The Dallas Jackals will be a third professional team for Roura. He played for Los Ceibos in the 2020 SLAR season. He made one appearance before the season was suspended due the pandemic.

Roura is a product of Club Palermo Bajo. He started playing rugby for the Córdoba club at the age of 13. He was representative honors for Argentina. Roura was a starter for Los Pumitas at the 2016 World Rugby u20 Championship. He then graduated directly to the senior Pumas team on the World Sevens Series, which culminated in selection to the 2018 Rugby World Cup Sevens in San Francisco. He subsequently played for the Argentina XV.
