One year Castres extension for Benjamín Urdapilleta

Benjamin Urdapilleta has signed a one-year extension with Castres Olympique. The 35-year-old Argentine flyhalf commits through the 2022-2023 season, which will be his 8th for the Top 14 club.

This past year was another impressive feat for Urdapilleta, as he led the division in scoring with 323 points. He is currently 9th on the all-time Top 14 scoring list with 1,885, second only to Bayonne fullback Gaetan Germain among active players.

Urdapilleta turned down selection for the Rugby Championship earlier this year for personal reasons but could yet earn a recall to Los Pumas for Rugby World Cup 2023. His most recent international appearance was against the USA at RWC 2019.
