Argentines shine for Edinburgh in upset win over Saracens

Argentines shined for Edinburgh in today’s upset win over Saracens. Pumas backs Emiliano Boffelli and Ramiro Moyano were among the point scorers for the Scottish side in what was a 21-18 win over English Premiership powerhouses, Saracens.

Moyano crossed for one of Edinburgh’s two tries in the match. His try was from a cross-kick. The 26-time capped Puma from Mendoza gathered a well-directed kick to dot the ball down in the try zone for the Scottish side. Boffelli converted the try and scored additional points in the match. He was named Man of the Match.

The Rosario outside back slotted a 51st minute penalty and landed two others. He finished the match with eleven points to his name. All 21 of Edinburgh’s points were scored by players from abroad. Argentines were responsible for 16 of them.

Moyano and Boffelli both joined Edinburgh this season from France. Moano made the move from Toulon the Scotland while Boffelli joined from Racing 92.  The pair played at RWC 2019; they started in the South American’s tournmament opener against France in Tokyo.
