Old Glory re-signs Renata Roberts-Te Nana

Old Glory DC have re-signed outside back Renata Roberts-Te Nana for the 2022 Major League Rugby season. The 28-year-old New Zealander returns to the nation’s capital for a third year having arrived shortly before the club’s first MLR campaign in 2020.

Roberts-Te Nana has been an indispensable member of the team in his two seasons to date, appearing in all 21 games for the club including 19 starts. This past season saw him playing 99% of all possible minutes and scoring a team-high 5 tries. He showed his versatility with starts at outside center and fullback in addition to his preferred left wing position.

There are now six backline players confirmed by Old Glory for the 2022 season. Previously announced as returning are centers Thretton Palamo and Doug Fraser, and versatile back Mike Dabulas. New signings to date are former Australia u20 flyhalf Rohan Saifoloi and rugby league international Junior Sa’u.
