Argentina win Bronze in Dubai

Argentina won Bronze in Dubai earlier today. In the second of two tournaments in the Middle-Eastern city, Los Pumas made it a Bronze double. The South Americans finished third in both tournaments to be second overall in the season standings behind South Africa.

Los Pumas downed France 38-21 in the Bronze Final. The match featured a hat-trick from standout performer Marcos Moneta. There was also a double to Luciano González Rizzoni and a try to captain Santiago Álvarez.

The result was a notable outcome following the disaster that was the tournament Semi Final against Australia. Los Pumas were hammered 40-0. Prior to that Argentina overcame Great Britain 33-12 in the Quarter Final. Luciano González Rizzoni scored two tries with singles from Felipe Del Mestre, Marcos Moneta, and Santiago Vera Feld.

North America was also present in the Dubai Sevens. Neither Canada nor the USA came away with outcomes that they had intended. The USA finished the tournament in 6th place while Canada had a day to forget on Saturday.
