Chad London returns to rugby with Dallas Jackals

The Dallas Jackals have confirmed a surprise return to rugby for Chad London. Originally from South Africa, the 33-year-old center earned 6 caps for the USA Eagles between 2014 and 2016 including try-scoring starts against Canada, Chile, and Uruguay.

London had initially signed on with Dallas in June of last year following the withdrawal of the Colorado Raptors from Major League Rugby. When the Jackals subsequently opted out of the 2021 season, London opted to retire and focus on his chiropractic career rather than sign for another club.

Dallas will add London’s experience to that of English Premiership veteran Henry Trinder and the versatile Ned Hodson in the midfield. Collegiate Draft pick Calvin Gentry and American Raptors utility back Campbell Johnstone are other options, with Dallas Harlequins center Romain Gadeaux signed to a development contract.
