Dallas acquires scrumhalf Tom Brusati from New England

The Dallas Jackals have acquired a third scrumhalf for the 2022 Major League Rugby season. Tom Brusati makes the move from the New England Free Jacks in exchange for salary cap considerations. He follows Carlo de Nysschen from the San Diego Legion and Dylan James from the LA Giltinis to Texas.

Brusati joined the Free Jacks from the Saint Mary’s Gaels as an undrafted collegiate free agent prior to the start of the 2021 campaign. In his first season as a professional he made eight appearances, taking advantage of Sean Yacoubian’s injury-enforced absence.

New England have already filled the roster spot with the signing of Holden Yungert from NOLA while Yacoubian has returned to full fitness. The Free Jacks have also confirmed the return of tighthead prop Erich de Jager for the second of his two-year contract signed last August.
