Brazil have confirmed a list of 26 players who have departed for Stellenbosch, South Africa, to play a series of two tests against African opponents. Os Tupis will first square off against Zimbabwe on Sunday, November 14, with a second test on Saturday, November 20, against one of Kenya or Namibia.
Fernando Portugal has included six uncapped players on the list, with all but flanker Devon Müller appearing in the recent Americas Pacific Challenge tournament in Montevideo. The others are tighthead props Henrique Ferreira and Joel Ramírez, second row Kauã Guimarães, center Gabriel Quirino, and outside back Robson Morais.
There are several experienced absentees, most notably captain Felipe Sancery and twin brother Daniel Sancery. Front rowers Wilton Rebolo and Yan Rosetti, second row Matteo Dell’Acqua, flyhalf Josh Reeves, and inside center Moisés Duque will also not take part in the tour.
