Pumita Iván Nemer to make test debut for Italy against All Blacks

Iván Nemer will make his test debut on Saturday. The Argentine prop has been named on the bench to face the All Blacks in Rome. Italy are coached by former All Black and former Canadian Head Coach Kieran Crowley.

Nemer will be one of two Argentine players in the Italian 23. The other is Juan Ignacio Brex who will start at outside center. Brex made his debut for Italy earlier this year in the Six Nations.

They join the list of Argentines to have been capped by Italy. Martín Castrogiovanni, Sergio Parisse, and Diego Domínguez were named on Italy’s all-time Six Nations XV in 2020.

Nemer spent there years playing age grade rugby for Argentina. He was an Argentine u18’s and u20’s player. The 23-year-old Nemer is from Mar del Plata in Buenos Aires province. A product of Bigua Rugby Club, he has played rugby since the age of four. He also played for IPR Sporting, from whom he went on to be selected for Argentina at the junior levels.

Italy vs New Zealand is to be is Italy’s first test match of the November Internationals. New Zealand are playing game three; they previously faced the USA in Washington D.C. and Wales in Cardiff.
