Dallas signs back row Ayemere Oiyemhonlan

The Dallas Jackals have announced the signing of Ayemere Oiyemhonlan for the 2022 Major League Rugby season. Formerly a member of Old Glory DC, the 25-year-old back row has most recently been playing for the St. Louis Bombers and impressed recently at the Premier Sevens event in Memphis.

Oiyemhonlan was a collegiate standout with Lindenwood-Belleville before joining Old Glory ahead of their exhibition campaign in 2019. He would appear in all four fixtures for DC including three starts at lock, but at 6’3″ (1.90m) should feature exclusively as a loose forward for Dallas.

Dallas have also confirmed the signing of Collegiate All-American Calvin Gentry who they selected in the 2nd round of the 2021 Collegiate Draft. Meanwhile former Houston SaberCats winger Kelly Kolberg has been handed a development contract at the age of 36.
