Nick Boyer signs on for more with SaberCats

Nick Boyer has re-signed with the Houston SaberCats for the 2022 Major League Rugby season. The 28-year-old joins new signing Dillon Smit in giving the team two high quality options at scrumhalf.

Boyer made an instant impression on the SaberCats upon arrival. He would played 13 games and score 4 tries, and his strong form earned a recall to the USA’s extended squad though Boyer did not ultimately travel with the Eagles on their July tour to Europe.

Capped in both 7s and XVs, Boyer’s unique physical profile at 6’3″ (1.90m) could see him used in other positions in the Houston backline. He had several starts on the wing while playing for the San Diego Legion including the 2019 Championship Final against the Seattle Seawolves.
