NOLA prop John Sullivan moves east to ATL

NOLA prop John Sullivan has signed with Rugby ATL for the 2022 Major League Rugby season. The 28-year-old from New York heads east having been with the Gold since their inception in 2018.

Sullivan began his professional career as a loose forward but made the transition to the front row ahead of the 2020 season. This past year he played 9 games for the Gold with his only start coming at tighthead prop against Seattle in Week 17.

It’s at loosehead prop where Sullivan should feature primarily for ATL. He fills a roster spot left by the departure of Chance Wenglewski to a team still to be announced. Alex Maughan started the Championship Final against the LA Giltinis in the No1 shirt.
