NOLA Gold captain Kyle Baillie moves to Toronto Arrows

The Toronto Arrows have confirmed the addition of Canadian international Kyle Baillie for the 2022 Major League Rugby season. Captain of the NOLA Gold for the past two seasons, the 30-year-old PEI native heads north of the border in exchange for a second round pick in the 2022 Collegiate Draft.

Baillie joined NOLA from RFU Championship side London Scottish in 2019. In his three seasons with the club the 6’5″ (1.96m) forward played 20 matches, primarily as a lock but also including starts at blindside flanker and No8. This past year he was limited to just 8 games due to injury.

With 32 test caps on his record since debuting in 2016, Baillie brings leadership and experience to the Arrows roster. He is noted for his lineout prowess and strength in the contact area, and was widely regarded one of the players of the tournament at the 2020 World Tens Series event in Bermuda.
