Arrows lineup named for Rugby Rally against Atlantic Selects

The Toronto Arrows will celebrate a return to Canadian soil on Saturday when they host the Atlantic Selects at York Lions Stadium. This past season saw the Arrows spending their entire Major League Rugby campaign south of the border with home games played in Atlanta.

Six Canadian internationals will line up in the Arrows XV that will be captained by scrumhalf Andrew Ferguson. The rest of the squad is a mix of senior MLR squad members with a handful of senior academy players and a first run-out for Collegiate Draft pick Sam Mace.

A number of club invitational players are also included who will be looking to impress the coaching staff with an eye towards the 2022 MLR season. Marcello Wainwright returns from injury and late-season addition Hank Stevenson will look to earn a permanent spot on the roster after initially joining on loan from the Utah Warriors.

The Atlantic Selects side is captained by prop Alex Forrest, who started for the Arrows in their first ever exhibition match against the Glendale Merlins in September 2017. Both Forrest and back row Liam Carter featured as replacements in the Arrows match against the New England Free Jacks played at Halifax in October 2018.

Kickoff is set for 5:30pm local time.
