Kate Zackary has been named Premier 15s Player of the Month. The US Eagles captain is co-captaining Exeter Chiefs in what is her second campaign with the team.
Since dropping their season opener to Bristol, Exeter have won three straight including an upset road win over defending champions Harlequins. During that time Zackary has started at three different positions – openside flanker, number eight, and inside center – and scored two tries.
Zackary is in good company at Exeter this season. Fellow USA internationals Rachel Johnson, Gabby Cantorna, and Jennine Duncan have also played key roles in the victories along with the all-Canadian front row of Olivia DeMerchant, Emily Tuttosi, and DaLeaka Menin.
