Chile will travel to Russia with two tests on World Rugby’s November international calendar. The first is scheduled for Saturday, November 20, with a second just six days later on Friday, November 26. Both will take place at Yug Sport Stadium in Sochi.
It will be the second and third tests between the two nations. Their first meeting was played at the neutral venue of Hong Kong during the 2017 Cup of Nations. On that day the Bears were too strong for Los Cóndores, taking a dominant 42-11 result.
The Rugby World Cup 2019 participants are welcome opposition for Chile, who are themselves attempting to qualify for the 2023 edition of the flagship tournament. A win over Canada on Saturday would guarantee at least a spot in the final Repechage tournament. Russia are currently five spots above Chile at No23 on the World Rugby Rankings.
