Victor Comptat signs three-year deal with Seawolves

Victor Comptat will be staying in Seattle after all. The 24-year-old second row signed a two-year deal with Rumilly in the French Fédérale 1 earlier this year but he will now return to the Seawolves on a three-year deal that runs through the end of the 2024 Major League Rugby season.

It’s welcome stability for Comptat, who has bounced back and forth between France and the USA over the past four years. He played for Austin, Houston, and San Diego in MLR prior to joining the Seawolves in June. Others French stops have been with Toulon, Massy, Bédarrides, Hyères, and Marcq-en-Baroeul.

Seattle now have three second rows signed up on multi-year contracts with Rhyno Herbst and Ben Landry committing their immediate futures to the club in August. The 6’8″ (2.04m) Comptat will be aiming to follow Landry into Eagles contention having previously represented the USA at u20 level.
