Seru Vularika signs Super Rugby deal with Fijian Drua

Serupepeli Vularika has signed on with the Fijian Drua for their inaugural Super Rugby campaign. In doing so the utility back bids farewell to the LA Giltinis after one season of Major League Rugby.

The 31-year-old joined LA in April and would go on to play 9 games for the club. He showed his versatility with starts at center and fullback while also providing scrumhalf cover from the bench. Vularika took the field as a replacement in the final minute of play during the Championship Final win over Rugby ATL.

It’s a move that does not come as a surprise with Vularika having previously spent two seasons with the Drua in Australia’s National Rugby Championship. To date he has won 12 caps for Fiji and only narrowly missed out on selection to the 2019 World Cup squad.
