Peter Malcolm re-signs with San Diego Legion

Peter Malcolm will stay in San Diego for the 2022 Major League Rugby season. The 27-year-old USA international hooker has re-signed for what will be his third year with the Legion after making the move from Austin ahead of the 2020 campaign.

This past year saw Malcolm play the most games since suffering a knee injury that knocked him out of the 2018 season entirely. He appeared in 15 games for the Legion, including five starts, and scored four tries.

With fellow hooker Dean Muir named vice-captain, Malcolm had to settle for just five starts though they often split game time. It’s the first re-signing of the off-season for San Diego. They now have two players publicly committed for 2022 including previously confirmed Chris Robshaw.
