Valorugby Emilia sign Nicolás Sbrocco to further their Argentine force

Valorugby Emilia have signed Nicolás Sbrocco. In doing so the Italian Top 10 club now has five Argentines on the player roster for the 2021-2021 season.

Sbrocco arrives at the age of 26. He does so in what is his second time playing in Italy. He previously joined Perugia in early 2020 only to miss out on playing due to the arrival of the pandemic.

At the time of signing for Perugia, Sbrocco opted to play in Italy rather than in the Súper Liga Americana de Rugby (SLAR). It was the flanker’s first professional contact. Cancelations saw Sbrocco instead playing for Barcelona in the Spanish División de Honor.

The Argentine flanker will have no shortage of Argentine teammates at Valorugby Emilia. The club is home to Gonzalo Garcia (Cafeteros Pro, CO), Thomas Dominguez (Club Atletico San Isidro), Javier Diaz (Olimpia Lions, PY), Teo Castiglioni (Jaguares XV) and Guido Randisi (Duendes).

Sbrocco is a product of Universitario de Tucumán. He has represented Argentina but not in test rugby. His representative duty includes playing in the Americas Rugby Championship (ARC) for the Argentina XV.
