Canada’s Mackenzie Carson re-signs with Saracens

Canadian international Mackenzie Carson has re-signed with Saracens for the 2021-22 Premier 15s campaign. The 22-year-old hooker returns for a third season with the London-based club, having initially joined in 2019 after one season with Bristol.

Carson saw her game time severely limited due to injury during the 2020-21 season, missing the first half of the season and making just three appearances. She had been a regular starter for the side in 2019-20 and now looks to make up for lost time in the build-up to next year’s World Cup in New Zealand.

Saracens have now confirmed three North American internationals for this season, including fellow Canada export Alysha Corrigan and incoming Eagles scrumhalf Carly Waters. Canadian trio Alex Ellis, Emma Taylor, and Sophie de Goede were also at the club this past season.
