Chile to face Argentina XV in RWC Qualifier warm-up

Chile will face the Argentina XV in September. The international match will see Chile’s test side taking-on Argentina’s next-of-XV. The match will be uncapped but is of vital importance as Los Cóndores are seeking to make history against the runner-up of Canada vs USA. That side will be North America 2 and will face Chile in October.

The date and location of Chile vs Argentina XV is yet to be finalized. The game will be played between September 17 and 19. The game follows Chile’s win over Brazil and narrow loss against Uruguay in RWC qualifiers last month.

The Argentina XV also competed in July. The team faced Uruguay in what was a warm-up match for Los Teros. Uruguay were impressive winners over the Argentina XV in that match in Montevideo. Los Teros went on to defeat Chile and Brazil to advance in RWC qualifiers as South America 1. The results confirmed Chile as South America 2 and saw Brazil eliminated.

The Argentina XV last faced Chile in 2020. The occasion was part of the South American 4 Nations. Chile gave the Argentina XV a solid match. The underdogs just missed out on what would have been an historical upset. The Argentina XV were 25-24 winners thanks to a late penalty.
