Bautista Stávile signs for Viadana from SLAR

Bautista Stávile will continue his career in Italy. The Argentine flanker has signed for Viadana to play in the Italian Top 10. He will make the move to Italy from the Súper Liga Americana de Rugby (SLAR). Stávile was a 2021 Semi Finalist for Chilean side Selknam.

He will retain connections with Argentina while playing for Viadana. The 24-year-old Stávile will play under countryman Germán Fernández.

The move sees a further name added to the 2021 SLAR Argentine player exodus. Players from Los Jaguares XV, Los Cafeteros Pro, Os Cobras Brasil XV, Olímpia Lions, and Selknam have been recruited to continue their careers in Europe.

Stávile is a product of Mendoza RC in Mendoza province. he played for Selknam in the 2020 and 2021 SLAR seasons. Hie move to Viadana marks a new stage of his career; he will play professional rugby outside of South America for the first time.
