Eagles lock Alycia Washington signs for Worcester

USA international Alycia Washington has signed on with Worcester Warriors for the 2021-22 Premier 15s season. The 30-year-old second row from Hamden, Connecticut, makes the move with eyes on a second Rugby World Cup tournament in 2021.

Washington has been a regular for the Eagles since making her debut against England in the 2015 Super Series. She made three appearances during the 2017 World Cup in Ireland and now has 22 caps, one of only four players with more than 20 on the current USA roster.

Worcester are looking to build on their 7th-place finish this past season and already have one North American on the roster in Canadian winger Paige Farries. Eagles quartet Kate Zackary, Rachel Johnson, Gabby Cantorna, and Jennine Duncan have signed on for another season with rivals Exeter.
