Felipe Berchesi has signed a one-year extension with US Dax that will keep him in France until at least the end of the 2021-22 season. The 30-year-old Uruguayan flyhalf has been with the club since 2017, having previously played for Chambéry and Carcassonne.
Berchesi has been a staple in the Dax lineup since his arrival, scoring 448 points in 62 competitive appearances. This past season the club played in the third professional division, the Nationale, with Berchesi splitting his time between the No10 and No12 jerseys.
This past month saw the Carrasco Polo product steering Los Teros to victory over Chile and Brazil to advance to the Americas 1 stage in the World Cup Qualifiers. The two caps bring Berchesi’s test total to 40 caps since making his debut against Portugal in 2011.
