Valorugby Emilia sign Teo Castiglioni from Jaguares XV

The Jaguares XV exodus continues. Teo Castiglioni is departing Argentina to join Valorugby Emilia in Italy. The move is a one-year-deal. It will see him playing in the Italian Top 10 and potentially forming an Argentina 9-10 combination with fellow SLAR recruit Gonzalo García.

Castiglioni went through the Argentine development system. He played for Argentina u20’s and for the Argentina XV. The later means that he is attached to Argentina. He has also played for Los Jaguares XV in both the Currie Cup First Division and in the Súper Liga Americana de Rugby (SLAR). He and García played for opposing teams this year.

Castiglioni is a product of Gimnasia y Esgrima. The Rosario club has produced a number of Pumas over the years. The most notable being Leonardo Senatore. He played in RWCs 2011 and 2015, including starting in two Quarter Finals and a Semi Final.
