Four changes to USA squad, Bryce Campbell named captain

Gary Gold has been forced to make four changes to his Men’s Eagles squad for the upcoming tests against England and Ireland. Most notably AJ MacGinty has withdrawn after undergoing surgery on a torn meniscus, with midfielder Bryce Campbell nominated as captain.

Also ruled out due to injury are Chance Wenglewski and Conner Mooneyham, with Titi Lamositele now unavailable. Called up to the squad are NOLA Gold prop pair Matt Harmon and Dino Waldren, Utah center Calvin Whiting, and outside back Christian Dyer.

Dyer is a surprise addition having played with the Eagles Sevens squad in recent months. The 23-year-old Cal Golden Bears standout was selected by Rugby United New York in the supplementary draft earlier this year but has yet to make his Major League Rugby debut.
