Bordeaux sign Pablo Dimcheff from Charente

Bordeaux have signed Pablo Dimcheff. The club have recruited the Argentine from Charente. The move marks promotion from the Pro D2 to the Top 14 for the Argentine hooker.

Dimcheff was one of two South American hookers at Charente this season. Both he and Uruguay’s starting hooker Germán Kessler played for the relegated club. Kessler will continue his career at Provence Rugby.

The 22-year-old Dimcheff is a former Pumita. He impressed at the 2019 Junior World Championship. He was the starting hooker in the team that romped past France to book a Semi Final against Australia.

Following the Junior World Championship on home soil Dimcheff played for Los Jaguares XV in the Currie Cup First Division; the Argentine team went unbeaten. Then he joined Los Ceibos for the Súper Liga Americana de Rugby (SLAR).

Dimcheff is a product of Pucará in Buenos Aires. The same club has produced many Pumas past and present. Among them is Bautista Delguy who has departed Bordeaux to join Perpignan for the new Top 14 season. Dimcheff will join Santiago Cordero and Guido Petti at Bordeaux.
