Canadian international Sophie de Goede is the only Americas representative in the Premier 15s Team of the Season. The final selection was determined by fan vote from a list of nominees chosen by the league.
de Goede made 15 appearances in her first season with Saracens, scoring six tries and kicking four conversions. She has been named as a lock in the select side but also made starts at flanker and No8 during the campaign. Saracens finished at the top of the table but ultimately fell to Harlequins in the Championship Final.
Other Canadians nominated were Worcester winger Paige Farries and a pair of second rows – Exeter’s McKinley Hunt and Loughborough’s Abby Duguid. Two USA Eagles were nominated, both Exeter players – openside flanker Kate Zackary and inside center Gabby Cantorna.
