Benetton with three Argentines crowned Rainbow Cup Champions

Benetton are Rainbow Cup Champions. The Italians ran rampant against the Bulls, claiming a 35-8 victory. The win sees history made for Italian professional rugby. It is a first trophy in the cabinet for the Central Europeans.

The final was played in front of 1,250 fans in Treviso, Italy. It was a north vs south final between the top teams from the Pro 14 divided in geographical terms.

The final featured three Argentines. Thomas Gallo started at loose head prop and Juan Ignacio Brex played in the centers. Ivan Nemer was a replacement. Gallo is in-line for his first Pumas cap this year. Brex made his test debut for Italy in the 2021 Six Nations. He qualified via the Olympic loophole.
