Fresh faces feature in England training squad

Eddie Jones has named 21 uncapped players in his first training squad ahead of the July internationals against the USA and Canada. The group does not include the 12 players selected for the British & Irish Lions or any from the Premiership Semi Finalists – Bristol, Exeter, Harlequins, and Sale.

Included are six members of England’s Rugby World Cup 2019 squad – loosehead prop Ellis Genge, hooker Jack Singleton, flankers Lewis Ludlam and Sam Underhill, scrumhalf Ben Spencer, and winger Joe Cokanasiga. Second row Charlie Ewels and scrumhalf Dan Robson also provide notable experience.

The squad will be revised in 10 days with an England ‘A’ match against Scotland ‘A’ scheduled for June 27. A final squad for the tests will be named following the June 26 Premiership Final.
