Thomas Morani signs for San Diego Legion

Thomas Morani’s third home should be his last this season. After initially re-signing with Houston, the outside center spent three weeks on loan with Old Glory DC before moving to San Diego this past weekend. He has now completed a permanent move to the Legion for the rest of the 2021 campaign.

The 25-year-old was raised in Argentina and played for the University of Buenos Aires (CUBA) club prior to signing with the SaberCats in 2020. He started two games for Houston before the season was cancelled, and did not make an appearance with the club in 2021 before moving to DC.

San Diego have been hit hard with injuries this season. Eagles international Dylan Audsley and Canada cap Josh Thiel are both out for the season while former Pumas regular Santiago González Iglesias is currently sidelined with damaged ribs leaving the Legion short in the midfield.
