Greg Peterson signs two-year Newcastle extension

USA international Greg Peterson has put pen to paper on a two-year contract extension with Newcastle Falcons. It ties the 30-year-old lock to the English Premiership club through the 2022-23 season.

Since signing on in March of 2019, Peterson has established himself as a key member of the Falcons pack. He has played 17 games for the club this season, all starts, and has proven one of the most reliable set piece operators in the Premiership.

Peterson is set to add to his 30 test caps when the Eagles return to action in July. At Rugby World Cup 2019 he started two of the USA’s four games. On current form Peterson is a near-certain starter for the upcoming matches against England and Ireland.
