Argentina confirmed for two test match tour Wales in July

Argentina has a confirmed tour to Wales in July. Los Pumas will play two test matches against the 2021 Six Nations Champions in Cardiff. The matches replace Argentina’s home games against Wales. The Welsh were scheduled to play two tests in Argentina and one in Uruguay in July.

The test matches will be played on July 10 and 17. The kick-off times are yet to be finalized. Both matches will be played at the home of Welsh Rugby, the Millennum Stadium.  There may be a third match added to the tour. Argentina is seeking to schedule a match for July 03.

Options for July 03 are limited. Argentina were to host Wales and Georgia in July 2021. The July 03 date cannot see Argentina facing Georgia. The Lelos will play away against South Africa on that date. Additional tests see Ireland vs Japan and Wales vs Canada on July 03 and England vs USA on July 04. Scotland and Italy do not have a match scheduled for this particular weekend.

Scotland are to play away against Romania on July 10 and Georgia on July 17. Italy’s tour to New Zealand has been cancelled. Officially, Italy now has no matches scheduled for July.

Argentina have faced Wales on 18 prior occasions. Wales have thirteen victories and Argentina five. The last Pumas win was in November 2012. Juan Imhoff and Gonzalo Camacho were try scorers in a 26-12 victory.

Both Canada and the USA will also be touring Great Britain in July. Canada face Wales and England while the USA take-on England and Ireland. ARN will cover all three tours.
