Miotti scores 10 points as Western Force claim historic Semi Final

Domingo Miotti was again important for the Western Force. The Tucumán fly half scored 10 points in a 30-27 victory over the Queensland Reds. The result sees the Western Australian Super Rugby AU side claiming an historic Semi Finals birth.

The Western Force will face the Brumbies in the Super Rugby AU Semi Finals. The Queensland Reds will also be in the Semi Finals. Their loss against the Western Force ends their perfect season. For Miotti it sees a third consecutive start and win. He kicked the Force to wins over the Melbourne Rebels and then a last-gasp win over the New South Wales Waratahs.

The Western Force’s win over the Queensland Reds was miraculous. The 30-27 win was a comeback victory against the competition leaders. The Reds were leading by 14 points at one stage of the contest. Winger Jordan Olowofela was the leading figure with a hat-trick.

Miotti started outside fellow Pumas and former Jaguar Tomás Cubelli. Also involved was Santiago Medrano. He was a replacement tight head for the Western Force.
