Canada Fall to France in Dubai 7’s Final

Canada finished as tournament runners-up today in Dubai. The North Americans fell to a 17-12 defeat against France in the tournament final.  The USA joined Canada on the podium, finishing third with a 26-19 win over Brazil in the Bronze Final.

It was a solid tournament for both Canada and the USA. As was the case in last weekend’s tournament, both North American countries competed strongly. Canada were champions in the first tournament but had to settle for second best in the second.

Canada started Day Two with a defeat. The Canadians fell to a 29-10 loss against France. They followed it up with a tremendous 60-0 win over Brazil. That result secured a re-match against France in what would be the tournament final.

Brazil’s day began against Kenya. As Yaras won a nail-bitter 15-12. The low point against Canada was overcome in the Bronze Final with a competitve performance in a 26-19 loss.

The USA started with an emphatic performance against Japan. The 31-0 win was followed by a 22-10 win over Kenya. The Eagles then secured Bronze with their win over As Yaras.
