Old Glory closing in on former Harlequins lock Stan South

Old Glory DC are close to completing the signing of former England u20 lock Stan South for the 2021 Major League Rugby season. The 24-year-old is in the process of obtaining visa clearance and is set to join Api Naikatini, Tevita Naqali, David Beach, and Casey Renaud in DC’s second row stable.

Despite his relative youth South is an experienced professional. He made his Anglo-Welsh Cup debut for Harlequins at the age of 18 and would spend three seasons in their Premiership squad before making the move to Exeter in 2019. South had brief spells with Edinburgh and Brive in 2020, appearing in the French Top 14 as recently as November.

Meanwhile the club have confirmed that Collegiate All-American scrumhalf Harry Masters will not be playing for the team this season, having previously reached an agreement with Old Glory last summer. The full roster for the upcoming season is to be unveiled on Tuesday.
