Arrows name rosters for Friday intra-squad

The Toronto Arrows have named two rosters to square off in a Blue vs White intra-squad match at their indoor training facility in Whitby on Friday. No spectators will be allowed and there will be no live stream available. While numbers have not been assigned, the positions are not difficult to decipher.

Five players are unavailable or nursing minor injuries – prop Rob Brouwer, hooker Steven Ng, back row Siaki Vikilani, center Spencer Jones, and versatile back Shawn Windsor. Argentine backs Manuel Montero and Joaquín Tuculet are completing quarantine.

Four additional players have been invited to suit up. Pacific Pride prop Chris Atkinson and 6’7″ (2.01m) Guelph University lock Cam Hurst are handed opportunities to impress team management. A pair of age-grade internationals join the backs – Canada u19 center Dalton Campbell and u18 select Kobe Faust.

Cole Keith is set to play loosehead prop in the match, a change from his usual tighthead spot. The Arrows are looking at options to cover the departure of Richie Asiata to the Queensland Reds. Keith is not entirely new to the position having played there for James Bay in the BC Premier League.

The Arrows will depart for their temporary home in Georgia next week. They open the regular season against their hosts Rugby ATL on March 20.
