Rugby ATL vs Old Glory DC preseason game cancelled

Friday night’s planned preseason match between Rugby ATL and Old Glory DC has been cancelled. The two sides announced simultaneously on social media that the they were acting “in compliance with Major League Rugby’s COVID-19 positive test and contact tracing policies.”

DC were due to travel to Marietta with the game to be streamed live on the Major League Rugby Facebook page. It’s the second Old Glory preseason match called off in the span of a week. Last Friday’s scheduled contest against the Free Jacks suffered an identical fate.

Both teams will now prepare for the March 20 opening of the regular season. Old Glory face off against NOLA at The Gold Mine. ATL welcome their soon-to-be billets Toronto, who head south to Georgia prior to the game next week.
