Santiago Socino scored his first try for Gloucester. The try came in Saturday’s 20-19 away win over the Wasps. It involved two Pumas. Socino threw the lineout to Matías Alemanno. Socino then entered the back of a maul and finished off the drive.
Both Socino and Alemanno joined Gloucester this season. So too did Santiago Carreras. He played on the right wing. One year ago to the day the trio all played for Los Jaguares in their final Super Rugby match. It was a loss against the Sharks in Durban. Carreras was a try scorer in the contest.
Saturday’s win sees Gloucester move up one spot from the bottom of the table. Gloucester are now 11th and the Worcester Warriors bottom. Gloucester’s next game will be at home against Leicester Tigers on Saturday. The match looms as one with a number of head-to-head battles between Pumas.
