Matías Moroni shines for Leicester Tigers win over London Irish

For the second time in as many games Matías Moroni was voted Man of the Match by Leicester Tigers supporters. The Argentine played outside center in what was a 33-32 win over London Irish. The win moves Leicester up to 8th position. London Irish occupy 6th.

Moroni was joined in the Tigers team by Tomás Lavanini. Both Pumas started. Also starting was Agustín Creevy. He played hooker for London Irish. The match was supposed to have a Pumas head-to-head encounter between Creevy and Julián Montoya. It did not eventuate with Montoya sitting out the game after having picked up a minor injury in training. Lavanini was forced off early due to injury.

The Leicester Tigers will play again next Saturday. The team will play away against Gloucester. That game is another likely to involve match-ups between Pumas.
