Women’s Eagles pull out of Madrid 7s final day

The USA Women’s Eagles will not play on the final day of the Madrid 7s. A decision was made to withdraw after members of the French team tested positive for COVID-19.

France were due to play the USA on Saturday but the match was cancelled, with the French team dropping out of the competition. A statement from the FER indicated that tests conducted on the four other teams all returned negative results.

The tournament will conclude on Sunday with six teams competing in the men’s bracket and four in the women’s. Both Argentina and the Men’s Eagles are set to complete their schedule as planned.
