Seawolves sign ex-Connacht center Kieran Joyce

The Seattle Seawolves have announced the signing of midfielder Kieran Joyce for the 2021 Major League Rugby season. He arrives from Birmingham Moseley in England’s National One.

Joyce, 24, is English-born but Irish-qualified and spent three seasons with Guinness Pro Championship side Connacht. There he was most often sighted with their development side but made two starts in the European Challenge Cup during the 2018-19 campaign. In 2019 Joyce traveled to Boston and played against the New England Free Jacks during the Cara Cup.

Capable of playing either center position, Joyce joins a plethora of options already confirmed by Seattle. George Barton, Joey Iosefa, and Ross Neal return from 2020 with newcomers including JP Aguirre via Rugby United New York and collegiate draft picks Aaron Matthews and Nick Taylor.
