Juan Cruz Mallía made his Toulouse debut on Saturday. He did so in a round 17 Top 14 match against Lyon. Toulouse were beaten 31-23 in what was an away fixture. The result sees Toulouse now in third position. Wins to La Rochelle and Racing 92 see them now above Toulouse.
Mallía started the match at outside center. It is the same position in which he started for Argentina in his one appearance in the 2020 Tri Nations. He had played in both center positions for Los Jaguares in the 2020 Super Rugby campaign.
Mallía played good rugby both on attack and defense. He had a busy performance wherein he played the full 80 minutes.
