Emiliano Boffelli scores match winning try for Racing 92 vs Castres

Emiliano Boffelli scored his first try for Racing 92 on Friday. The try was a match-winning effort against Castres. The 70th minute score took the Parisians to a 23-20 victory. The outcome of the match sees Racing 92 moving above Toulouse into second position in the Top 14.

Boffelli played the match on the left wing. He was also starting for Racing 92 for the first time. He joined the club in January from Argentina. Boffelli was a Jaguar from 2016-2020. He started in the 2020 Super Rugby final and is regarded as one of the best backs to come through the system in the RWC 2015-2019 period.

Boffelli’s Pumas teammate Juan Imhoff was rested by Racing 92. Involved for the opposition was Benjamin Urdapilleta. He started at fly half. Canadians Tyler Ardron and Matt Tierney also both played for Castres.
