The result ensured the team of a place in the final with a game in hand.

Los Pumas 7’s next opponent was Kenya. Argentina were convincing 21-7 winners. Matías Osadczuk impressed with two tries while Rodrigo Etchart also touched down. The match was a preview of the final with Kenya finishing in second place behind Argentina.

Kenya improved for the final. Scores were level in the final minute. Rodrigo Etchart secured the result with a try. It was his second of the match. Lucio Cinti was the remaining Argentine scorer in the final.

The USA Men’s Eagles finished the tournament in third place. They did so with a 24-17 win over hosts Spain. However, the talking point of the day, and tournament, for the team is the injury suffered by star player Perry Baker.
