The New England Free Jacks have re-signed Abington native Danny Collins for the 2021 Major League Rugby season. A High School All-American and product of the Boston Irish Wolfhounds, the 26-year-old outside back returns after impressing in his first season as a professional.
Collins appeared at fullback during New England’s 2019 exhibition campaign but it was on the wing where he made three starts for the Free Jacks in the truncated 2020 season. His first MLR try came against Seattle and he contributed to others with his pace and footwork.
New England have also retained Mitch Wilson, Poasa Waqanibau, and Beaudein Waaka out wide while adding Scotland international Dougie Fife. All are versatile players and join midfield specialists Aleki Morris-Lome, Harry Barlow, and Liam Steel in an exciting backs division.
